So today I weight 378lbs, body fat of 60.3% and body water of 30.8%. I am 23 years old, and african-american. These numbers were pulled today after working otu at the gym, but before I had any food to eat.
Today was my first day at the gym since I started back, havent been in over a year and even then it was barely. In the past 6 months I have began half watching my calories, and eating less fast food. I got to my current weight by eating primarily fast food and living a sedentary lifestyle. This blog is intended to be a chronicle of what I hope will be a successful weight loss plan. I have purchased the new slim bodybugg, with the digital display, and the iphone calorie tracking app Tap&Track. I use a Escali High-Capacity Bathroom Scale with Body Fat/Body Water Monitoring (440lb / 200kg) to monitor my weight.
From pre-teen to now I have been overweight. I haven’t been active in a while, I played football for most of high-school, and then I weighed, if memory serves, 250 during football season. After high-school I worked at the local newspaper for around a year, which was a decently physical job that was very fast paced, and my weight was around 300. My weight ballooned up to 400 during the year and a half I worked security, despite my last year being at a posting where I had to circle a strip mall on foot/bike once every hour, because I bought alot of food/snacks from the 24/7 Albertson’s grocery store when I worked there based on hunger so thats why I am where I am now.
I plan to finally become fit and thin by monitoring calories immediately throughout the day, using my iphone. Keeping up on my daily calorie expenditure using the BodyBugg, and using that to tailor my intake each and everyday to ensure maximum weight loss. Based on calorie calculators I should be eating 3000-3500 calories a day right now, and burning around 4500 a day. Based on the last two weeks, eating that amount of calories, without the kinds of calorie dense food you get at restaurants/fast food joints, is really hard. I will end this post now, but I plan to update each day with the food I’ve ate, workout I’ve done and information from the bodybugg. Here’s hoping this works!
